Exterior siding

LP SmartSide siding is a durable engineered wood product that looks like traditional wood but offers easier installation and less maintenance. It’s made from wood strands mixed with resin and wax, making it resistant to moisture, termites, and decay. This siding is a great choice for homes and businesses, and it’s exclusively used in our Phoenix Tiny model, which also features lapped fiber cement board for a variety of color options.

Vinyl siding is a popular and cost-effective exterior cladding option for homes and buildings. Made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), it offers durability, low maintenance, and resistance to rot, insect damage, and harsh weather conditions. Available in a variety of colors and styles, vinyl siding enhances curb appeal while providing long-lasting protection and insulation for structures.

Lapped fiber cement Hardie board is a versatile and durable building material renowned for its strength, weather resistance, and low maintenance. Composed of cement, sand, and cellulose fibers, it provides excellent protection against fire, moisture, and pests. Its lapped design enhances water shedding and creates a classic aesthetic suitable for both residential and commercial exteriors.

Mini-split system and a slide in AC-heat unit

A mini-split system and a slide in AC-heat unit are both air conditioning options for park model homes, each with distinct advantages.

Mini-Split System

Components

It has two main parts: an outdoor compressor and an indoor air-handling unit.

Installation

Involves mounting the indoor unit on a wall and connecting it to the outdoor compressor through a small hole in the wall.

Efficiency

Highly energy-efficient, providing targeted heating and cooling to specific zones or rooms.

Aesthetics & Noise

Quieter and more discreet, as the bulk of the system is outside.

CONCLUSION: a mini-split is usually preferred for its efficiency and quieter operation

Slide in AC/heat unit

Components

It has two main parts: an outdoor compressor and an indoor air-handling unit.

Installation

Easier to install; easier & sometimes faster to replace if there were to be a repair issue needed

Efficiency

Less energy-efficient compared to mini-splits, suitable for cooling smaller spaces.

 Aesthetics & Noise

More visible and can be noisier since the compressor is inside the unit.

CONCLUSION: a slide in AC/heat unit might be a more budget-friendly and simple option.
